The Wooded Festival is a project initiative created in 2014 by a team consisting of the Polish DJs and producers Catz ‘N Dogz as well as the agencies C&C Bookings and Feast Artist. The major goal of the initiators and event coordinators is to foster electronic music, which is the most important link running through the entire project. The result is a highly unique and shared space – far away from the cacophony of the city – for all of those looking for new sounds. The festival places the focus on original, ambitious music, interwoven with different kinds of electric sounds, including Techno, House, Deep House, Nu-Disco and Disco.
The event is inspired by the Berlin club music scene and seeks to bring electronic music culture closer to Polish audiences. Berlin’s techno sub-culture, in particular, is a major role model and motivator behind organising of this event. And that’s why representatives of the German capital are essential this year, because they help shape the quality of the Wooded Festival.
An essential theme of the event is the link to the environment and the fostering of an environmentally friendly lifestyle. This is why most of the production design elements and equipment will be made of wood and other recyclable materials.
The Wooded Festival also fosters art of every type and dimension. It provides a place to meet and engage in workshops and other initiatives. The ultimate goal is to move participants to connect with each other in creative and interactive ways.
The Wooded Festival will take place this year on 4 June 2016. Among the acts performing in the beautiful Schlosspark at the Zamek Culture Centre will be:
MIDLAND (UK) – CATZ ‘N DOGZ (PL) – SAN SODA (B) – JULI N. MORE & JONTY SKRUFFF (SISYPHOS BERLIN) – PIOTR BEJNAR LIVE (PL) – DTEEK (PL) – OPTIK (PL)- CRUZ OE ( PL) among others (tba asap)
